Obtaining your C/C1 Licence

In order to avail of our services, you must hold a Category C or C1 provisional permit

To obtain a Category C provisional permit, you must have passed the Category C Driver Theory Test with Prometric within the last two years. To obtain a Category C1 provisional permit, you must have passed either the Category C or C1  Driver Theory Test with Prometric within the last two years. To obtain either provisional permit, you must also obtain a medical and eyesight report from your doctor stating that you are medically fit to drive a Category C or C1 vehicle. After passing the Driver Theory Test and obtaining all necessary documents, you must apply for a permit with the NDLS.

To obtain a Category C1 licence, you must hold a full Category B licence and be at least 18 years of ageTo obtain a Category C licence, you must hold a full Category B licence and be at least 21 years of age. You may, however, obtain a Category C licence at 18 years of age if you complete a three-part CPC exam.
